About Us
What is the EYC?
The EYC is several things-you can “Go EYC” or “Be EYC.” Being EYC (or the Epilepsy Foundation Youth Council) is being part of a group of young men and women affected by epilepsy who wanted to create the spot for young people with epilepsy on the web to learn more about living with epilepsy, meeting other people like themselves, and generally having a place to talk, share stories, and hang out with other people affected by epilepsy.
The EYC, in essence, is a group of young advocates who seek to raise awareness, engage and educate others, and through these actions, eliminate the stigmas associated with epilepsy.
Going EYC is slightly different, but the same principles (and letters) are involved. We hope that after you’ve had a chance to explore the site, you will Go:
Educate Your Community about epilepsy
Be Empowered by Your new Connections, and
Embrace Your new found Comfort in talking to people about epilepsy.
